Mt. Washington

This is the turning point of the game for me. It comes in at the end of episode two after Kate’s suicide attempt and it’s deeply melancholic, full of yearning, the kind of song that sounds like regret. And that’s exactly what you’re watching. David and Victoria in separate scenes, both sitting with what they did to Kate. It’s heartbreaking without being heavy handed about it.

And then it cuts to Max and Chloe separately too, in different parts of town. They’re not together in the scene but it feels like they are. Like they’re a unit now, like they’re thinking about each other. That’s what the song does. It just holds all of that at once.
