Chrysalis is slow. Maybe it’s because I’m just anticipating what’s going to happen the whole time, but I’m kind of just skipping through all the answers so far.
I do hear Jefferson though, for the first time really. “Seriously, though, I could frame any one of you in a dark corner, and capture you in a moment of desperation.” I don’t feel unsettled exactly, it’s more just like.. yuck. You’re just so gross. I hate you. And I have to play the whole game like that, gritting my teeth every time I have to talk to him, every time someone acts like he’s wonderful, just button mashing to get through it.
But then the hallway, and To All Of You starts playing, and I actually feel anxious. I’m walking through thinking, what if Max had gone in earlier, what if she could have intercepted Chloe before the bathroom, is there a universe where she just doesn’t go in at all. But I just can’t. I have to watch her die. I have to rewind and play through everything again and I can feel Max’s urgency because I feel it too.
I rewind, I get the hammer, pull the fire alarm and save her life. And then I have to go get a flash drive with bootleg movies on it that takes twice as long as that whole sequence did. What a game lol
